Thing 8: I admit that I was actually dreading this week because I had never heard of an RSS feed and newsreader. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised! I actually do check a couple of websites every day, mostly WMDT weather and the headlines on CNN. I think it's neat that you can go to one site and get the latest updates on as many pages as you want. I found it easy to set up the account and add things. I tried to post my Bloglines web address, but it didn't work.
Thing 9: I consider myself to be pretty technically savvy, but that whole Merlin site has me baffled. I think I would need a demonstration on how that would help me in my every day job. I don't see anything that really applies to me, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place. And there's a ton of technical jargon on there that would take me a month to look up. So far, I haven't found any library blogs or sites devoted to I & R, my main interest. I'd love to find some, though.

I will be trying to do the RSS feeder thing soon, and was also dreading it; now I feel like I have some hope! LOL
(I'm spoiled by yahoo, you just pick what feeders you want and they set them up automatically.)
I tried to link to your Bloglines but it would not work. I have to say that I did not love Bloglines, but found Google Reader a lot more fun.
What are bloglines?? I must have missed something. Also, I didn't explore Merlin. I've just been trying to do something for each assignment and I think it's taken much more than 1 hour a week as is.
